Fort Pierce FL Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Strawn was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but was raised in Florida. He attended college in Tennessee and Washington, D.C., graduating from Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia.
He then spent two years as an Air Force dentist, stationed at McChord Air Force Base near Seattle, Washington, before establishing his Ft. Pierce office. Dr. Strawn is also licensed to practice in the states of Virginia and Washington.
In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Strawn has served as consultant and regional representative for a national practice management company and has lectured to various dental groups in the areas of technical and managerial excellence. He also served as president of Treasure Coast Dental Society.
His hobbies include water sports, travel, and orchid and mango growing. He volunteers time for Project Dentist Care, a statewide group of dentists that sponsor clinics and events to treat people who are indigent or underserved. Dr. Strawn is the volunteer Dental Director of the HANDS dental clinic in St. Lucie County.

Darlene – Patient Scheduling Coordinator
Darlene was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. Darlene has been with Dr. Strawn for almost 10 years. She works the front desk and is known as the "Director of First Impressions". Her favorite pastimes are camping, reading and playing with her new granddaughter, Lilly.
Julie – Financial Coordinator
Julie was born in Schenectady, New York. She has lived in Fort Pierce for 26 years and has worked for Dr. Strawn for over 10 years. Pastimes include going to the beach, singing and enjoying her animals. She also loves to help Dr. Strawn’s patients achieve their dental dreams and smile makeovers.
Missy – Certified Dental Assistant
Missy was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She moved to Florida with her parents when she was in elementary school. She graduated Fort Pierce Central High School then attended Indian River State College for dental assisting. She has been working for Dr. Strawn for over 10 years. She says “the staff agrees it’s the best place to work with the best patients, we are like family here.”
She has been married to her wonderful husband for 12 years and has 3 beautiful children. Besides her love of dentistry her other passion is home design and DIY projects. She enjoys spending time with family, thrift store shopping with friends, Fridays with her mom and date nights with her husband.
Kayla – Certified Dental Assistant
Kayla was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. She loves being in the dental field and is currently pursuing a career in dental hygiene. She enjoys outdoor activities, running, boating and going to the beach.
Sonta- Registered Dental Hygienist
Sonta was born and raised in South Florida. Palm Beach Community College is where she received her A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene. The first sixteen years of her career she worked in a periodontal practice. She relocated in 2006 to St. Lucie County and has been with Dr. Strawn for five years. The cosmetic and restoration end of general dentistry is very enjoyable for her to watch, the impact a nice new smile has on her patients.
Her favorite things to do include date nights with her husband of 22 years and shopping with her two daughters.
Alison – Certified Dental Assistant
Alison is a Certified Dental Assistant and has worked for Dr. Strawn for over 3 years. She is a full time college student working towards her goal of becoming a dentist, following in Dr. Strawn’s foot steps. Alison says Dr. Strawn has been so helpful and supportive of her goals and she hopes to live up to his name! She loves this office and her work family. Alison enjoys outdoor activities, boating, running and family time.
Ann – Certified Dental Assistant
Ann was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida and graduated from Fort Pierce Central High School. She started her dental career as a dental assistant at the St. Lucie County Health Department, and then took the Expanded Functions courses at IRSC. She joined the staff at Midway Dental Center in August of 2003 and assisted with patients for approximately a year and a half. She then transferred to manage Sabal Palm Denture Center, Dr. Strawn’s denture clinic in Port St. Lucie. She had her first child, Michael, in December of 2009. He was born with heart disease that required surgery. Ann returned to work two weeks post delivery with her newborn baby boy in tow and Baby Michael went to work everyday for ten months. Patients still ask how baby Michael is.
